		<description><![CDATA[They have never exploded on me.  I don&#039;t seal the jar.  Sometimes I put plastic wrap over the weight to keep out bugs/etc but lately I just put a tea towel over the whole thing and rubber band it to the jar.  Then there is airflow but no bugs.  As long as your kraut is submerged by the weight, it will ferment under anaerobic conditions, which is what you want.]]></description>
